Where are customer-supplied images stored?

New wordpress installation, default theme, latest version of woo.

When a customer edits a hat by adding their own logo, where does the logo file go, how does the person processing the order retrieve the logo?  I can see that on the order page, we can view the customization screen, but I'm not seeing how to extract the user's provided logo so we can print their hat.
