Dear customers,

as you noticed there has no been any big updates in the last months. The reason for that.....we worked on the biggest update in FPD history. We noticed that the code got bigger and bigger and we were using some old external libraries that have not been maintained for years yet. So we thought it would be a good time to rewrite the code and make the designer and the usability, especially on mobile devices, better. This update and some other changes in our business modal, which we are going to share with you in the weeks, we are calling AWAKE.

Here are some major changes:
  • No jQuery dependency anymore, pure Vanilla JS

  • New API

  • New UI

  • File size decreased

  • Works now with latest fabricJS version

  • New Colorpicker with Eyedropper

  • ....

Roadmap AWAKE

FPS-JS Beta Release (June 26, 2023)

We are kicking off the AWAKE roadmap with the release of the FPD-JS on Github. WHAT?

Yes, the developer version of FPD is now going to be open-source and hosted on github, so other developers can be part of the development for the frontend designer. Please read the license details.

All features of the PLUS and Pricing Rules add-ons are now added into the basis plugin. This will also be changed in Wordpress and Shopify integration. In this beta release we want to get your feedback. You can post your feedback either in this thread or on github. In the git repo you will find some demos.

WordPress & WooCommerce Release V6 (July 20, 2023)

The new version of FPD has been integrated for WordPress & WooCommerce version.

...stay tuned for more big news :)

Will it support CMYK conversion for print-ready PDF? Outlined fonts would be good as well. Sound good nonetheless!

Good job!

Hello!

Should you wait for the AWAKE update for a new store page?

Or are the versions compatible, so you can update to the new version on an existing store page without problems?

Yes custom shapes for upload zones are not supported.

1) Will it be possible in this first beta release to use upload zones that have the shape of a heart or star, for example?

That was a feature that is planned.

2) Will there also be the possibility to create design templates (similar to Multistep) like the big Shopify plugins Teeinblue or Customily?

We just began the integration in WordPress/Shopify. We hope to have the first beta version at the end of July.

Sounds promising. The demo looking great.

Question

  • Would the export plugin also be updated or included?
  • Is the current one simple to update?
