The Problem - If you have a set of "Patterns" and "Colours" available as options for an SVG element (which is also linked to other Elements in other "Views" using the "Colour Link Group" value) selecting a colour will change all of the linked Elements across all "Views", whereas selecting a "Pattern" will not.
The Solution - Simply match the "Colour Link Group" behaviour for Patterns to share the selection across all linked elements in all views.
In my opinion this is what a user would expect to happen when they select a Pattern. They shouldn't need to manually select the same pattern across all different views.
