Backend problem when customers use special characters

I am unable to load orders which include special characters such as “<“ as in <3. If I press on the ‘Load in Order Viewer’ button, page scrolls down but the order is not loading. Strangely enough, similar problem seems to have been solved in patch notes 2.1.0 from 7 years ago. I use the latest version, but still experience the issue.


Has anyone experienced this problem? Any solutions to make special characters work properly? Alternatively, how do I block special characters from the FPD text fields?
