You marked my previous conversation answered but it is not resolved. To continue on that:
I understand that disabling Customization Required will bring Add to Cart back, the problem is that it brings it back for all variations. So anyone can select the the "Use Our Free Online Design Tool" product variation (which should be customized), never even open the designer, and just add to cart. Obviously we hope nobody does that but it is far from ideal. That is why I have said that the Customization Required functionality should only be applied to product variations that have a designer assigned.
So far we didnt notice anyone else requiring it so this function is not on our bucket list. If you need to get it done and want to pay for it please open a customization request on our websitehttps://fancyproductdesigner.com/customization-request/
