Advanced Editing - How can I get the image filters and editing in the main panel?

I would like to know if there is a way (without diving into the JQuery - although if that's the only solution I will do it) to change the location of the advanced editing tab.

Currently it only shows when an image is selected and, is a tiny box with no text on it, just an icon which could mean anything. 

I believe this option - to be able to use filters on images and text - is a great feature and should be easier to find and use.

Is there a way I can get add this to the list of features in the UI composer (e.g. How to, Preview, Layers etc)?

It would be a huge bonus for anyone using this!
