Once you close the guided tour, it will stay closed next time. In incongito window you can not save something in the browser cache, thats why the plugin can not store in the browser if the guided tour was closed.

Is there a way to not run the guided tour automatically? I have the info box I'd like to show first. If they need the guided tour, then they can click the icon. Right now everything pops into the screen the first time they visit, making it really confusing. Thanks in advance.

You can add the guided tour button in the actions via the UI Composer.
