I have a question about the custom text option. Is it possible to
make the text appear wherever you like in the canvas? In different
places for different products? What settings I am supposed to change in
order to do so?

At the moment you can only setup one location globally - default element options, text options, x,y coordinates.
If you need texts in specific locations I'd recommend adding text-layers via the product builder.
