Id like to only allow customers to replace text by simply typing in a text box, similar to how the jersey name option works. Is there any plan on it or any way to do it?

You can type into a text box via the Layers module.

Would be far more user friendly if they didn't have to click on a layers module. When older people use it they tend to get confused.
