Using Custom Shape for Bounding Box, that will be much easier for custom define position and Area and without using Mask. It bit difficult when combine to use with Mask.
Will be best if can be define Multi Bounding Box
Plus, if can using Arrow Key to move element will be good idea. (is hard to overlay each layer)

How can I make a specific shape as a bounding box.
For me only the outline of the PNG is taken. If I want my bounding box to be a circle, I upload a transparent PNG as an element. But then only the outline of the PNG (square) is taken.
Is there an exact documentation how a custom bounding box for example a circle works?

Multi Bounding Box with selection for same view will be good too. if can be consider in next. (some product have restrict Multi area for design, Like T-shirt with 2 pocket)
