Link multiple layers together for resizing

It would be handy if on the front end, the user was able to resize a product that had multiple layers making up the product. For example a t-shirt would have 1 layer for the colour and 1 layer for the texture overlay etc

It would be nice if in the backend you could link those two layers together and be able to resize them on the front end.
